“跨年”这个词在英文里没有直接对应的词，要用 celebrate New Year’s Eve 来表达，千万不要说成 cross the year！

A: Hey, where are you going to celebrate New Year’s Eve?

邀请朋友的時候可以用 why not 的句型

A: Since you haven’t decided, why not go out with me?

既然你还没有決定，要不要和我一起出去跨年呢？

B: That sounds great! I wasn’t sure who to hang out with on that day.

听起来很棒！我之前还没找到要一起出去的人！

邀请人的時候也可以这样说：

A: Hey, it’s New Year’s Eve. Do you want to celebrate New Year’s Eve together?

嘿，跨年夜到了，你想一起跨年么？

B: Sure, let’s not stay home like a couch potato this year.

提出建议的时候也可以活用 How about 的句型

A: What do you want to do to celebrate New Year’s Eve?

你跨年夜想做什么呢？

B: How about having a gourmet dinner, and then watching the fireworks?

你觉得先吃一顿丰盛的晚餐，然后再去看烟火，这样如何？

但如果已经有了规划，需要婉拒时，除了 sorry 以外，还可以这样说：

A: Hey, it’s New Years Eve. Do you want to celebrate it together?

嘿，跨年夜到了，你想一起跨年嗎？

B: Too bad, I have been too tired lately. I would rather stay home and be a couch potato this year.

太可惜了，我最近有点太累了。我今年宁可在家里当懒虫就好了。
