弗兰茨·道纳在完成教育学专业的学习后，又于维也纳音乐与表演艺术大学先后主修小号、钢琴、声乐专业，并获得：“音乐教育”、“艺术歌曲与神曲演唱”、“歌剧演唱”三项硕士学位。毕业后活跃于维也纳各大歌剧院舞台和音乐会舞台，担任主角和独唱，表现出色。

After his study majoring in education, Franz Donner pursued his further study at University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna and majored in trumpet, piano and vocal music. He earned his master degree of music education, performance of art songs and divine comedy and opera singing. After graduation, he was active in the concert stage and the opera house stage in Vienna, and acted as the leading actor and soloist with great performance. 

1983年起执教于维也纳音乐与表演艺术大学声乐系，在此期间曾长期担任声乐系主任职务，和教学委员会会长职务，最终以卓越的教学业绩获得大学颁发的最高级别黄金勋章。

Since 1983, he has been teaching in Vocal Music Department of University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna. During this period, he served as the Director of the Vocal Music Department and the Chairman of the Teaching Committee. Eventually, he was awarded the Gold Medal of the highest rank by the university for his outstanding teaching performance.

在他执教数十年里，有很多来自中国不同省市的学生，例如著名女高音歌唱家李国玲、中央歌剧院男中音歌唱家王海涛等，并多次赴中国在多所音乐大学开设声乐大师班，得到全校师生的好评。

During his decades in teaching, there were many students from different cities in China, such as the famous soprano Li Guoling, the China National Opera House singer Wang Haitao and so on. He also has been to China for many times to open the vocal music master class in many conservatories and got the praise from all the teachers and students.
