Björk is an Icelandic singer, songwriter, actress, record producer, and DJ. Over her four-decade career,  she has used pioneering technology to shape her distinctive palette in music, art, and culture. Yamaha QY20 music sequencer

Björk 在 Studio 中选用 QY20 制作音乐，且在 90 年代期间现场使用过。其包括了音频发生器，音序器以及自动伴奏部分。在笔记本可以制作音乐之前，QY20 多为音乐人使用。

As a production unit tone generator, sequencer, and auto-accompaniment, Björk used the QY20 the studio and on stage in the '90s. The QY20 was used before the laptop was a viable tool for making music.

Pro Tools

Björk 曾将 Pro Tools 当作一种乐器使用。“它不是以 4/4 网格形式呈现，我可以更专注在音乐的叙述上，从电影视角来制作音乐。通过 Vespertine，我录下了房间所有的小噪音。之后，我将他们输出至 Pro Tools，以来创造出旋律。它让我花了三年时间去制作，就像一针一线编织地毯，虽然漫长，但很享受。”

Björk previously used Pro Tools as an instrument in its own right. “I like that it isn’t on a 4/4 grid, and I can be more focused on the narration, look at the music from a film perspective, rather than as a ‘house’ club thing...With Vespertine I recorded all sorts of noises around the house, very quiet ones, and I then magnified them up in Pro Tools, and created rhythms with them. It took me like three years, very enjoyable, but it was like crocheting a huge blanket with a tiny needle.”

Sibelius

Sibelius 是世界上最为先进的乐谱制作软件之一，简单来讲，就好比电脑中拥有了一支交响乐团。在 Vespertine 的项目中，Björk 对其非常依赖，可以说把它的功效发挥至极。

Using Sibelius for making beats, the program is primarily used for creating string arrangments, kind of like having an instant orchestra on one's computer. Björk used this mainly for her Vespertine project, pushing and manipulating the use of Sibelius.

Melodyne

Melodyne 为一款拥有自动校音功能的图示话修音变调编辑器。Björk 经常通过它将自己的声音多元化。“我超爱 Melodyne，我可以通过它来多元演绎自己的唱声。我还可以制作和声部分，例如一个 5 音阶的和声，但每两个都各有区别。”

Melodyne can be used for pitch-correcting vocals, Björk crafted her element in harmonic phases of intricate choirs from her own voice... “I love Melodyne. I will put all my vocal takes, and I will make one of it, and I will make many of the same one, and I will make harmonies, so there are five-note harmonies, but no two harmonies will be the same."

Reactable

Reactable 是在用 iPhone 与 iPad 触屏玩音乐之前，就出现的一款互动音乐桌。它的可视化可以让观众以最直接的方式了解到音乐是如何制作出来，以及不同音符是如何融为一体。Björk 曾经在演唱会中现场使用过 Reactable。

Taking on the early gestures of controlled sound design, Reactable functioned before touchscreen music on iPhones and iPads. This was adapted for an interactive and elements of visual feedback with sound and allowed the audience to visualize how the music was being made.

Touchscreens

Björk 是最先使用触感屏幕制作音乐人艺人。“我希望每首歌曲的旋律和主题和谐一致。例如，一首关于‘闪电’和‘水晶’的歌曲，其音乐理论应该与主题实物相匹配。”

With a multi-touch control surface, Björk was an early pioneer of using the touchscreen for making music. “I wanted the music and themes of each song to correspond, so the arpeggio in the lightning song, for instance, is in the shape of lightning, and the musicology of the crystal song looks like a crystal. ”

Virtual Reality

去年，Björk 呈现了一场电子音乐展览。她将个人第九章专辑《Vulnicura》中的 MV 加入 VR 效果，让观众可以感受到当音乐世界与科技世界交集后，缔造出的惊艳视听享受。

VR allows a total view, meaning the audience could experience the physical environment that generated an artifical world. Last year, Björk Digital exhibition presented a suite of Vulnicura videos pushing the boundaries of technology in music.
